All,

As we're getting 60 odd spam accounts a day and I'm getting a bit cheesed off I've disabled registrations on the board. Anybody looking to register will need to contact Jonathan or myself directly.

This has no effect on anybody currently registered.

Cheers

Shane

:D Wah hoooooo!

The return of big brother 2. 8-)

So there is someone else out there on this forum!!!!

Does this mean you are going to give it a try again this year?

OR Have you gone over to the dark side totally like Stephen and Vince?

You know you can bring your own snorkel this year if you want, we don't mind, honest. :P

Well, if I can figure out why the Landy is cutting out and random intervals and get that fixed, we'll be there with bells on. Pah, if I have to do it in herself's Golf we'll be there!

:D :) ;) Shane I hate to break it to you but all vehicles do the same as yours.

I know its a problem, but we all go through it.

Put bloody diesel in it mate, honestly it goes a lot better then , less of the lack of power and cutting out.

That orange light on the dash is a fuel light not a over boost on the turbo warning

Are you still diving or are you waiting for more of Jonathans water crossings.

Regards,

Mike

But I've tried diesel, petrol and orange juice. There's no way she's getting any of my supply of Jameson 12 year old! Still the bloody thin cuts out. Normally when there's nowhere to pull in (interesting on the M50) or when I'm pulling off (ooo-er!) so I've no momentum to pull in somewhere.

Tonight I'm trying to wire the fuel cut out solenoid to a positive - seemingly this is a known issue (one of hundreds!) with the 300TDI. We'll see.

Back to diving after my years hiatus. Denise is training officer this year and we've 8 trainees heading to Killary for their first sea dives this weekend. Should be fun. I've missed it - a year out of the water is a damn long time.

A year off!

Its 3 years since I've dived normally with the club. Between work and kids its hard to balance the time. Only done holiday dives away in sunny climes.

I suppose with this recession and things being slack there will be more free time for leisure activities like diving.

Not a bad thing I suppose all things considered.

Regards,

Mike

PS
Always thought the 300Tdi engine to be one of the better ones for Landy. They made enough of them it should be fairly easy to solve the problem as alot of guys out there are used to working on them. Maybe try one of the Landy forums. I find the G wagen forum absolutely invaluable for info and or parts, very helpful and genuine people for the most part.

Hope to get plenty of local diving in this year. Prospect of a wedding early next year has put a stop to holiday spending. Though some warm water diving would be nice.

I'm boring the heads off lads on the Landy forums. Normally the 300 is excellent but this is just an intermittent fault. Hopefully going to fix it tonight (if I can find out which is the power lead to the fuel cut-off solenoid). Which will be nice as I've to drive about 500 miles this weekend :o
