Don't bother Jonathan just buy him a can of "Brasso" that way his future will be so bright he'll have to wear shades. Knight in shiny armour how are you, more like a real knight's(me) servant.

He goes so slow he'd rust up before he'd get there.

Well the Disco has passed its MOT and Donna now isn't that keen on doing the event (she's just realised it's cold in October and i drive with the windows open!) so i'll have to give Angie a wee cal and she if she's had any better offers

MOT is not important!!! . No G Wagons, please. All Marshalls should have Land Rovers.
Mind you I need a gearbox for a Series III at present. Otherwise I wil be in trouble in October.

You know the more I reflect on it, the more I think we made a big mistake rescuing that rust bucket of yours from the bog....... I should have used the G wagen to push it in further.....ah well we all make mistakes.

Oh I have a spare G wagen gearbox for the last 10 years now...never used it yet.... says alot about the vehicle and driver

Herr Jonathan asked me to made sure I brought enough tow ropes this year to rescue any stranded lesser branded makes as they are getting older any he expects will be more problematic.......why do you think he sells parts for Landies......use some deductive reasoning on that!

dave you're more than welcome to the rust bucket (that includes a g/b still fitted) i have in the field. last time it ran, i tested a few of the gears it seemed to be ok.

free to take away. may be worth while doing a refurb on it. located in ashbourne.

Interesting to see the G-vagon has been retired from competitive running and retired to marshalling, probaly for the best anyway, it'd be awful to see the vintage crock fading away into the distance

I thought you were a "big man" before last years event but then you saw my Pammie and you came to the event all wrapped in clingfilm......... this year if Poor Pammie is present we can only suspect that now with the authoritanian role she has taken on, you will have to bow and cowl before her........even if she does pull that suit out of retirement.
Anyway the chances of you getting that far in a disco 3 range somewhere between slim and none for balljoint trouble and steering rack issues.......could get you a goood deal on a landcruiser if you can't stretch to a G wagen for total motoring and offroad bliss!!!!

When i first views the SS staff car
I was actually impressed with how high the could stack scrap metal, and still get it to function

ahhh well...... only consolation is they lost the war and we still have the choices to drive modern inoative cars, instead of dated shoe boxes on wheels.

And as for Pammie ..... I cant believe she told you about the cling film and me bowing and cowering before her, and her doin the domination thing, that was personal and she told ye????? whats the world coming to when two adults with similar intrests in plastic products, cant keep it secret ?????

Like all of Jonathans marshalls "we arise to sabotage our task".

Its the end of August now and we have already done the h&s aspect and 3 other full weekends instruction for the event.
If you think thats bad, the landrover drivers have 5 weekends done. the extra 2 were for how to advise participants of serious work needing to be done to their vehicles (landrovers)so they may be able to complete the event still in one piece.
