In total €175,000 has been raised since the first 4×4 Challenge for Charity in 2005, with every cent going to Temple Street. There’s no doubt that the economic crisis has had a severe impact on fund-raising – but when the going gets tough, as they say.

The event in 2012 will be a crucial year – with an extra push, we can hit the target of €200,000. Organisers have announced the dates and several teams began work on their fund-raising strategy immediately after the 2011 event.
The minimum amount of sponsorship needed from each team is €500, and by starting early, it’s possible to raise a lot more than the minimum. Register for the forum and get a pack of advice on fund-raising and publicising your efforts.
Since 2006, the Sophie Trophy has been awarded to the team that raises the highest amount of sponsorship. This is a growing roll call of honour, as it takes a huge amount of work to win this very special award.
