THE RULES
This is a fun event and not a speed event. Anyone who persistently drives in an inappropriate manner will be asked to leave the event.
1 Drivers must be over 21 and navigators should be over 16 years of age.
2 Only team members are allowed to travel in the vehicle during the event. One driver and one navigator.
3 Children are not allowed on the event.
4 Drivers should carry their driving licence and insurance documents.
5 Vehicles should be road legal, taxed, insured and tested.
6 In the interests of safety and the smooth running of the event entrants are required to comply any instruction or direction given by a marshall.
7 Tyres should be no more aggressive than mud pattern tread.
8 Team numbers will be allocated and must be displayed on the sides of the vehicle. These are for identification purposes only.
9 Grid references are used only to define the route. It does not mean that a clue will be located at a grid reference.
10 The following controls and checks will be used during the event:
A Control Point. These will be manned and must be visited and will involve the handing in of question sheets and control sheets.
B Secret Check. A letter/number board will be displayed at random along the route and should be recorded on the control sheet. Also questions will be asked on a further sheet for teams to answer as they travel the route.
11 Where a specific time is set for the start of a section teams must not commence that section until told to do so.
12 If a team finds that they are running out of time they should stop that section and report to the next Control Point. In this instance call one of the phone numbers provided, to advise the organisers.
13 If a team has to retire for any reason they must inform the organisers at the earliest possible time.

Will be given with the route instructions. The finish of the event will be at the Slieve Russell Hotel in Co Cavan where teams will have a twin room with dinner and breakfast for Sunday night included in the entry fee. Personal drinks and expenses are NOT included.
The start of the event will be announced a few weeks before the event.
The organisers and marshalls will be on duty throughout the event to support, observe and report any matters arising from the activities of the teams. Entrants should always drive and conduct themselves in a manner which shall not discredit the event or cause adverse public opinion. Remember you are ambassadors for Temple Street Childrens Hospital. Stop for walkers, cyclists and horse riders and give way where appropriate to other motor vehicles when off-road
Any team found to be driving at excessive speed or inappropriately will be asked to leave the event.
